Dr Lande Liu

Senior Lecturer

University of Huddersfield

Lande is currently a Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at the University of Huddersfield. Prior to Huddersfield, he held a Lectureship in the same discipline at the University of Manchester. He also had his PhD from the University of Sheffield in 2004. Lande has research focus in modelling and experimental investigation of particulate systems such as industrial crystallisation and granulation for particle size and shape evolutions and, more recently nano-dispersion where aggregation affects the functionality and stability of the system. His research method is mainly based on the kinetic theory of aggregation and the population balance approach. Lande is also experienced in developing measurement techniques for characterising particles particularly nanoparticles using ultrasound spectroscopy.
